Special Message, M. Ma. Clarita R. Balleque, RVM
In behalf of the Association of Major Religious Women Superiors of the Philippines, I am honored to greet the Urban Missionaries with my warmest felicitations on the occasion of their Silver Jubilee on May 18. You should be very proud of your achievement and feel grateful for having reached twenty-five years of existence. Let us thank God, who in His gracious love, has blessed you abundantly through all these years.
As your theme “Dalawampu’t Limang Taong (25) Pakikipag-agaoayan sa mga Manggagawa ng mga Urb Missionaries” strongly suggests, the task force, which has been the strong arm of the AMRSP in the labor apostolate and which was eventually called and known as URBAN MISSIONARIES (UM) has journeyed with the oppressed and exploited workers for the past twenty-five years.
I commend your organization for its two decades and a half of achievements and contributions to the workers. You have been true to your vision-mission-goal for and with the workers. Your programs and services have helped in the welfare and betterment of the oppressed, especially women workers and women as a whole. I congratulate you all for your continued efforts to build a community of people where this is Peace, Freedom, Justice, and Integrity of Creation. I salute you for your untiring efforts to share and participate in the liberating mission of Christ to build the Church of the Poor.
May the fruitful 25 years of love, commitment and dedication to the service of our brother and sister workers be an inspiration for you to continue to serve and help them attain their dignity and recognize their role in society as children of God. May the good Lord continue to bless you abundantly with courage, strength and perseverance.
God bless and congratulations!
